Pocket Habitat marks new era forGreen Roofing

Arup and Sky-Gardens have today launched Pocket Habitat, the only modular planting system actively designed to promote biodiversity on new or existing roofs, or provide temporary greening at ground level.
Each module is a stand-alone unit made from environmentally friendly material and containing recycled substrates and wildflower seeds. They link together to form a continuous vegetated surface, which may be moved when required.

DON'T PANIC!
If your Sedum roof appears red, particularly where it receives more sun, this is a very normal occurrence and certainly does not indicate imminent death of the plants. Its caused by several things, most commonly, lack of water (we haven't had rain for weeks) and temperature. Sedums are CAM plants and photosynthesize very differently from other plants and they need temperature change to trigger this process, so the warmer days and cool nights, and hopefully a bit more rain will see them start to return to their green colour fairly quickly.
