Wildflower Seeded System
Brent Knoll School, situated in London, required the installation of a wildflower seeded green roof system installed on two buildings within the school grounds, totalling 900sqm.
In order to ensure a flourishing, healthy living system will grow over the next few months, Sky Garden used a specialised mix of wildflower seed. This mix contains species native to the London area and therefore should adapt beautifully to the environment, especially with the deep, locally sourced substrate supporting it.
The green roof system is completed with a 500mm wide border of washed riverstone pebbles; giving the roof a natural, clean finish, as well as allowing excess water to drain freely from the roof.
