Green Roof by Sky Garden at Gloucester Services Features on BBC's Countryfile

16th February 2015

Sky Garden's green roof at Gloucester was featured on BBC's long-running television show Countryfile last night.

The episode's focus was around Gloucestershire, with topics such as the hunting ban and visits to Berkeley Castle.

The piece about Gloucester Services explored the changes in motorway services across the UK. Gloucester Services has strong partnerships with local producers, offering fresh, local produce to their hungry visitors.

As well as this, the services building has a green roof expertly supplied and installed by Gloucestershire-based Sky Garden.

Keeping with the theme of local producers, Sky Garden sourced a seed mix of local vegetation to minimise the impact the building had on the local ecology. As you saw from the footage, the roof blends perfectly with the beautiful surrounding countryside.

If you missed the episode yesterday you can find it on the BBC webiste. The feature starts 15 minutes into the show.
