We used our standard sedum green roof on the Skegness Aquarium project in Lincolnshire. The system starts with a protective and drainage layer to ensure the roof drains well, followed by a filter fleece, specialist substrate and sedum blanket.
As our most popular green roof finish, we ensure our sedum always looks great when it arrives on site. After lifting it from our production unit we pack it onto pallets for transporting. It is important that the sedum is not stressed too much during the journey, therefore, we minimise the time spent on pallets as much as possible. Our sedum is lifted, transported and laid in 24 hours to make sure it is still healthy when it makes it to the roof.
Have a look through our pictures to see for yourself how good our sedum looks when it arrives on site. These were taken just after the roof was finished and the final piece of sedum was put into place. The roof will then be thoroughly watered and left to establish in its new environment.
